Project I was doing in my Photography class earlier this year. I'm going at lunchtime to progressively scan all my best photos from this year and put it on DeviantART, in order.
It's going to be in this order
Hands and Feet
Objects
Depth of Field
Silhouette
Figure in the Urban Environment
--School shoot
--City shoot
This project, "Figure in the Urban Environment", is in two parts.
Second is the city shoot, where we go to downtown Auckland and take pics with a clear constant theme taken from one or two of the photographers we studied. This is my most successful shoot. As I had 2 hours instead of 1, a more interesting setting and a more looser concept of what we could do. My concept was of a large urban environment and the somewhat impersonal attitude to the citizen's surroundings, etc. A lot of these shots have a sort of "Side-scroller" feeling, but not all.
Not my taste of photography but I will give it a try to comment it.
It's nice use of lightning and b&w, tells alot about city life. For me I get this feeling of really early morning, because it's not many cars you see or people.. It's quiet in a way that the city sometimes is. That is what I get through this shot
Now it's time for August 2008 Visual Art Features, many new art to discover!
Don't forget that many artists need to be viewed, they deserve it! Fave Fave Fave! My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy!
Here's the Menu per Category :
